Baidu to complete testing of ChatGPT-style project "Wen Xin Yi Yan" in March

Baidu will finish internal testing of a ChatGPT-style project called "Ernie Bot" in March, joining a global race amid growing interest in generative artificial intelligence (AI).

Ernie, which means "enhanced representation through knowledge integration," is a large-scale artificial intelligence language model launched in 2019, Baidu said. It added that it has grown to be able to perform tasks including language understanding, language generation and text-to-image generation.
