On ISSCC 2022, a total of 30 domestic papers were selected, ranking third, while South Korea and the United States had 41 and 69 papers respectively. By ISSCC 2023, South Korea has 32 papers selected, the United States has 42 papers, and China has 59 papers, jumping from third to first, surpassing the United States and South Korea for the first time.
Domestic papers have not only increased significantly in terms of quantity, but are also very strong in terms of quality and coverage. Domestic papers are selected in each chip category, unlike Japan, South Korea and other countries, where the fields are relatively single. For example, Korean papers focus on memory and flash memory chips, while Japanese papers focus on image sensors and flash memory.
