Snapdragon 8 Gen3 is a mobile processor from Qualcomm. It adopts a new 1+5+2 architecture design, with 5 Cortex A720 large cores, 2 Cortex A520 small cores, and Adreno 750 GPU. For the first time, this processor uses a five-core Cortex A720 large-core design, and its performance will be greatly improved, making it the most powerful Snapdragon 5G processor to date.
According to the data, Snapdragon 8 Gen3 will use 1 X4 super core, 5 A720 large cores and 2 A520 small cores. The GPU will be upgraded to Adreno 750, integrated with the X75 baseband, and the process will be TSMC’s second-generation 4nm technology.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is Qualcomm’s first mobile platform purpose-built for generative artificial intelligence. The biggest upgrade of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor is the AI engine, which can run generative AI models on the device. It will support more than 20 AI models at the initial launch.

According to Qualcomm, the new 8 Gen 3 offers 30 percent better performance and 20 percent greater energy efficiency than its predecessor. It also offers a 25% increase in GPU performance and a 20% increase in energy efficiency. The Adreno 750 GPU supports hardware ray tracing and 240 FPS gaming.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is also 5G ready and comes with Snapdragon X75 5G modem, LPDDR5X RAM support, UFS 4.0 support, Wi-Fi 7, Quad HD+ display support (up to 144Hz refresh rate) and 4K resolution at 60Hz refresh rate. It also has Bluetooth 5.4 and supports a 108 MP camera that records up to 4k video at 120 FPS.
The new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 also supports Qualcomm Seamless, which can connect to the S7 and S7 pro audio platforms.
