After entering 2022, the global consumer electronics market will continue to slump, and the market space will further shrink. The local RF front-end industry will be deeply involved in the competition of low-end involution, and the need to advance to the modular and high-end market will become increasingly urgent. As local RF manufacturers have made breakthroughs in high-performance filters and duplexers/multiplexers, the dawn of breakthrough is becoming clearer.
As a local RF manufacturer that has been deeply involved in the field of filters for more than ten years, Hantianxia officially launched the self-developed B1+B3 quadruplexer HSQP1213 a few days ago, opening up a new situation for the localization of RF front-ends. This product is built by integrating four BAW filters. Regardless of the isolation level between the transceiver channels, or the cross-isolation between the B1 and B3 frequency bands, it has reached the first-line level in the industry. In addition, its insertion loss performance is comparable to the international first-line level, and its high sensitivity performance perfectly meets the needs of the industry.
The launch of this quadruplexer HSQP1213 not only represents a solid step forward for Hantianxia in R&D and market expansion, but also brings strong support for domestic RF manufacturers to advance to high-end and modularization.
With the rapid popularization of 5G, the number of frequency bands required for daily communication has increased significantly. In order to give full play to the synergistic advantages between frequency bands, carrier aggregation has become a key way to achieve 5G speed improvement.
After the carrier aggregation method is generally adopted, the demand for multiplexing devices in the RF front-end has been greatly released. In the RF front-end, each multiplexer is usually composed of multiple filters of different frequencies, which need to be equipped with steeper passband edge roll-off, deeper and more mutual suppression between frequency bands, which not only gives RF manufacturers more The vast market opportunities also bring great challenges to product development.
In smart phone terminals, the B1+B3 frequency band is one of the most commonly used carrier aggregation combinations, and the B1+B3 quadruplexer is its core networking component.
From a global perspective, a total of 25 operators are using the B1 and B3 frequency bands on a large scale, including mainland China, Australia, some European countries, and the Arab region, covering an extremely large number of users. Compared with common frequency bands such as n41, n77, and n79, the network coverage of B1 and B3 frequency bands is wider, and they are rare high-quality frequency bands.
In order to ensure good communication capabilities, in some mid-to-high-end smart phones, operators clearly require the use of B1+B3 quadruplexers in the protocol standards. As far as the configuration of the RF front-end solution is concerned, the quadplexer can not only be used directly in the mid-to-high-end discrete solutions of smartphones, but also lay a solid foundation for the future development of L-PAMiD modules by local RF manufacturers.
Since the BAW filter itself has the characteristics of low insertion loss, high rejection and low drift coefficient, the performance of this quadruplexer HSQP1213 product integrated with four BAW filters is very good. After a comprehensive test, the insertion loss is about 2dB, as shown in Figure 1. In addition, no matter the isolation between B1 and B3, or the cross-isolation between the two can be maintained at 60dB, as shown in Figure 2, the impact of the transmission path on the reception path is minimized, and the signal transceiver sensitivity reaches an excellent level .
The insertion loss in all passbands of the quadplexer HSQP1213 reaches about 2.0dB
At present, in high-end smart phones, the modular solution has become the mainstream, and the quadplexer has also become a necessary device. For a long time, due to the high complexity of design and simulation, quadruplexers were once monopolized by a few top international RF device suppliers. Today, the overall performance of this high-performance quadplexer HSQP1213 successfully launched by Hantianxia has reached the first-line level, which is of great significance to the domestic autonomy of the RF front-end.
